inspired by situationists, micro restroom is my thesis project at mit. it is an architectural project that proposes micro public spaces for the everyday-life activities of the local residents living in the hutongs of beijing. micro restroom is a system of architecture based on an idea of alternative urban design strategy - minimum urbanism; micro restroom argues the issue of radical urbanization and problem of monolith architecture in contemporary beijing city.
